This recipe creates a delicious Apple Pie Moonshine, a boozy take on the classic apple pie flavor.

Ingredients
  • 128 oz Apple juice (1 gallon)
  • 128 oz Apple cider (1 gallon)
  • 4 cups White granulated sugar
  • 5 sticks Cinnamon (minimum)
  • 1 liter Everclear (190 Proof)

    Combine Ingredients
    • Pour apple juice, apple cider, and cinnamon sticks into a large stockpot. Bring to a simmer until cinnamon sticks uncurl or until mixture starts to boil.

    Add Sugar
    • Stir in sugar until dissolved. Remove from heat.

    Combine with Everclear
    • Let the mixture cool to 160°F (71°C). Carefully stir in Everclear.

      It's important to cool the mixture since Everclear boils at around 170°F (77°C) and would evaporate if added to a hotter mixture.

    Jar and Seal
    • Immediately transfer the hot mixture to clean mason jars. Seal the jars tightly. As the mixture cools, a vacuum seal will form.

    • Enjoy at room temperature or chilled.

Equipment: Variations:
  • Sugar Variations:
    • Replace 2 cups of white granulated sugar with 2 cups brown sugar.
    • Use 4 cups brown sugar instead of white granulated sugar.
  • Alcohol Content: Reduce Everclear to 750mL for a slightly lower alcohol content.
